The town of Cangas, and particularly its historic area, home to a rich increasingly recognized and valued artistic heritage.

In this former fishing village, the wise hand of stonemason and the good work of his men and women throughout the centuries, eventually bequeathing the beautiful marineira architecture, which blends its roots in the medieval tradition.

But Cangas is not only history, but also present; a present of great vitality in our town continues embellished with new and magnificent contemporary buildings.

So we begin our journey in the "Casa do Concello" avant-garde work that bears the stamp of an award-winning architect Alberto Noguerol. From here we head for the magnificent "Xardins do signal" to the place where the "Capela do Hospital" emblematic monument build commanded by the Prior D. Gonzalo de Nogueira y Araujo in 1711 and rebuilt in 2002 is ..

then we go into the Alameda, with pride effigy of Don Jose Felix Soage Villarino who in 1914 carved the great Francisco Asorey.
